Jim Landis smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Chicago White Sox beat the
Minnesota Twins by a score of 7 to 5.

Landis had a big day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 5th
inning and delivered a solo blast (his 3rd of the season) in the 7th inning.
Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.

The victory went to Frank Baumann(1-1) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 5
runs. Gerry Staley earned his 1st save. Chuck Stobbs(0-1) was the loser. He
allowed 3 homeruns in 4 and 2/3 innings of work.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Baumann said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
