Three wonderful pitching gems were turned in on this Friday, April 14th, 1961. Gary Bell tossed a two hit shutout at Washington, while Frank Lary led the two and oh Detroit Tigers to a seven oh skunk over Chisox. In the only other game scheduled, Camilio Pascual didn't toss a shutout, Diamond Jim Gentile made sure of that with a tape measure job over everything in right center field, but the Minnesota Twins hurler struckout 11 in turning in his masterpiece. Twins are two and oh too.
